Taneisha Pugh is a counselor, ministry leader, and compassionate advocate for healing in marriages and families. Her work reflects a deep concern for the emotional burdens people carry and a sincere desire to help them find stability, healing, and hope. She brings a thoughtful and caring presence to counseling and ministry, with a strong ability to support people through pain, transition, and relational difficulty.

Heart for People and Ministry
Taneisha’s service is marked by compassion, steadiness, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of others. She has a particular heart for those facing personal hardship, family strain, and emotional wounds that often go unseen. In ministry and counseling settings, she brings warmth, wisdom, and a nurturing strength that helps people feel safe enough to begin healing.

Her work consistently reflects a desire to strengthen marriages, care for families, and help individuals move forward with greater emotional clarity and spiritual support. She serves with a practical understanding of how deeply life experiences can affect the heart, the home, and the way people relate to one another.

Education and Counseling Background
Taneisha holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and an EdS in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology. This training gives her a strong foundation for understanding trauma, distress, relational pain, and the long-term impact of difficult life experiences. Her educational background supports her work with individuals and families who need care that is both compassionate and informed.

Her perspective is especially valuable in areas involving emotional healing, family support, relational strain, grief, and the effects of trauma on daily functioning and connection with others.

Role in Counseling and Family Support
As part of the work of Arise and Live Christian Counseling, Taneisha contributes to the care and support of individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of life challenges. She brings insight into the emotional side of healing and helps create an environment where people feel heard, supported, and treated with dignity.

Her strengths are especially evident in work involving emotional pain, trauma-informed support, relationship stress, and the care of those working through difficult seasons in life. She understands that healing is often a process, and she approaches that process with patience and grace.

Areas of Contribution
Taneisha’s contribution is especially meaningful in the areas of family care, marriage support, trauma-informed understanding, emotional wellness, and compassionate ministry. She brings balance to the broader work by helping ensure that care is not only wise and structured, but also gentle, human, and attentive to the deeper emotional realities people face.

Personal Life and Service
Taneisha has been married since 2003 and is a mother of seven children. Her life experience, faith, and years of ministry alongside her husband have shaped the way she serves others. Having walked through both blessings and painful seasons, she brings empathy and authenticity to her role. Her service grows out of both professional preparation and a lived understanding of what it means to persevere, care for family, and continue trusting God through every season.
